NCAA Week #11 Picks & NFL Week 10 Pick 'em

Decent week last week, overdue as well. Here is my latest attempt on getting to the top of the food chain in our yearly handicapping challenge. Actually getting my picks up in time for once, that is called progress my friends! Here is what I have for you this weekend:

Houston -35 The Cougars keep lighting up the scoreboard and that trend will continue this week as I think they will win this game by 42-45 points over the Green Wave, Tulane is a bad team and Houston really needs the style points to keep their boat in the race.Win.

2 Units.

West Virginia +4 The Mountaineers need this game badly to get a shot at a BCS bowl game, they have the offense to do it, but will their defense show up? I don't think Cincy is 4 points better than WVU at this point. Getting some value here after the Mountaineers lost to L'ville last week, who is a bit of an underrated team defensively and they have been getting some decent QB play as of late too. WVU keeps it within 3.Win.

2 Units.

Oklahoma State -17 Pokes survived a scare last weekend, Tech got blown out yet again. I'm not buying the Red Raiders win versus Oklahoma, since then they have been laying eggs true to form. The Cowboys are sitting pretty at #2 and won't take Tech lightly. Pokes cruise.Win.

3 Units.

Kansas State +5 The Wildcats are at home and coming off a close loss to Ok. State. Here comes A&M who has folded up shop for this season and will be without their leading rusher. I know KSU will do some scoring against a permeable A&M defense, they keep it within 5.Win.

3 Units.

TCU +16 Boise St. has failed to cover in 3 of 5 games, 2 of which were at home. You don't think TCU would love to ruin their season. Even at home 16 points is too much for 2 programs who know each other well. TCU keeps it close throughout.Win.

NCAA Week 10 Pick em

Little late posting my picks as I have been under the weather. Miserable week last week that's pretty much been a microcosm of my season. Lets get to my latest attempt to go 0-5.

Tulsa +2 This game has already been played and I do have my bet slip handy for any doubters! I took Tulsa bc UCF has been unable to produce any offense with consistency this season an Tulsa has plenty of offense. Win.

3 Units.

Vanderbilt +13 The Commodores are a solid defensive squad, with Jordan Rodgers at QB now they should be able to move the ball. Florida makes too many mistakes, even though they are home I have my doubts about how excited they will be to play Vandy. Vandy keeps it to close for comfort1! Win.

3 Units.

Rutgers +3 Why is USF favored on the road? How many conference wins do they have again? Enough said, Rutgers is no powerhouse but they are at home against an underwhelming opponent, Rutgers outright. Win.

3 Units.

LSU +5 I can't see this game turning into a shootout, both teams are very talented on both sides of the ball. Its in Crimson Tide country so that explains 3 of the 5 points here, not sure where Vegas feels LSU needs another 2. Lets not forget that LSU has beaten 5 ranked opponents this year and always plays Alabama tough. I will take the points here. Win.

3 Units.

Houston -28 UAB surprised UCF by finding an offense, they won't be as fortunate here as Houston looks to bulid on their undefeated effort thus far, I don't see the Blazers being in this game for long, could be covering by halftime! Win.

3 Units.

NFL Week 9 Picks:

Falcons -7 Colts are bad, Falcons need a win. Win.

Buccaneers +9 Too many points here, Tampa just beat Brees and company 3 weeks ago, this is a FG win for the Saints. Loss.

Bengals +3 Cincy is a solid squad, not sure why the Titans are favored here. Dalton has played well and seems to enjoy AJ Green's company and the offense-less Titans will not be able to move the ball against the Bengals D. Win.

Bears +8 Too many points here again, Philly getting too much credit off their Dallas win ands the Bears always play the Eagles tough.Win.

Week #5 NCAA Pick 'em, Week #4 NFL Pick 'em

Another rough weekend going 2-3 on Saturday (actually should have been 3-2, thanks to that bs extra point fiasco in my Toledo +2 pick). I got blown out on my Sunday picks, but I think I am dialed in now on my NFL action. Let's see what's on tap for this weekend as I climb back into the race in my Pick 'em league.

Penn State -15 Indiana is bad, Penn State can score points and always show up on defense. I like the Nittany Lions on the road here.Loss.

3 Units.

Louisiana Tech -3 Tough team at home, and they have been scoring some points this season. Hawaii has the long flight away from home and they aren't as good when they are away from that distinct and distracting environment.Loss.

5 Units.

Temple -8 Solid team, Al Golden left a good squad behind in Philly. The defense has been solid and the offense can score points in bunches, basically they are the polar opposite of USF. Toledo will be flat here coming home from some tough losses including the abortion last week where Vegas took their pound of flesh and my cash.Loss.

3 Units.

Washington +10 I think the Utes are way overvalued here coming off their big win versus BYU in the Holy War. Washington can score and Polk will have success on the ground. I think it is too many points here and I will take them. WIN!

2 Units.

Clemson +7 This game gave me some trouble, Clemson has been playing some great ball thus far, that being said they always like to shoot themselves in the foot away from home. VT is decent as expected, but I think the Tigers can keep it within 7. WIN!

2 Units.

NFL Picks

Bengals +3 Cincy defense is vastly overrated, The Bills could get caught in a flat spot here after their skull dragging of the Patriots. Benson is suspended which will actually probably help us here. Dalton has been pretty solid so far this year, vastly improved compared to preseason at least so the Bengals should be able to move the ball against a suspect Bills D, who could have trouble getting up for the bottom feeding Bengals.Win!

2 Units

Panthers +7 Cutler and the Bears offensive line worries me, while the Panthers are no aces on defense I think Cam Newton and Steve Smith will do enough to keep the Panthers in this game. Im not going to go as far to say the Panthers will win outright, but the Bears definitely have some problems right now, I think their faith in their QB is a bit shaken. Win!

5 Units.

Dolphins +7 I should have jumped on this game when its was +9, the Dolphins are desperate right now and the Chargers look like they are sleep walking. The Chargers are really hurting on the defensive side of the ball and it will show here. The Miami defense should do enough to keep them in this game.Loss

2 Units.

Falcons -5 I have been fading the Falcons all season thus far. This week I am going to jump on them. Don't be fooled by the Seahawks performance last week against the Cards. The Cardinals have no running game right now, so Seattle keyed in on Fitzgerald the Cards lone offensive threat. The Falcons have much more than one offensive threat and Mike Smith like to cover on the road. Falcons in a blowout. Loss.

4 Units.

Vikings -2 The Vikings are a dumpster fire, but the offense has been scoring points and the defense has been giving them up in the second half. Don' be fooled by the Chiefs close loss at San Diego last week, as I stated earlier the Chargers have massive holes on defense. Loss

3 Units.

There it is. I really need to get back on track as Vegas has been getting the better of me thus far which is the wrong answer.

Week #3 NCAA and Week #2 NFL Pick 'em

Not exactly a stellar week for me last weekend, no time to reflect on a mediocre performance though, we have money to make. I am really feeling the heat in my annual college football pick 'em challenge, so I really need to deliver here. Plus my loyal fan base deserves a solid showing!
Let's get to the picks!

NCAA

Boise St -20 On the road again for the Broncos facing a tough Toledo squad. The Broncos are a very good team to put it mildly. The Rockets stood tall with Ohio State last weekend but came up a little short in the end. It could be hard for Toledo to get up for this game on a short week and after taking one on the chin last week, for the Rockets that was their BCS title game so they could come out flat against Boise State which will put them in a deep hole. I think Ohio State is vastly overrated and even though I hate laying 20 points here the Broncos are just too good.Win!

2 Units.

UCLA +4 The Bruins are due, Nuehiesel needs to deliver a win against a big program and here is his chance at home. UCLA lost to Houston in what was basically a shoot out, Texas squeaked by Rice and BYU and I do not quite understand why they are ranked. The Longhorns will be starting Case McCoy, unfortunately for Vegas that won't get it done! UCLA outright.Loss.

2 Units.

Auburn +3 The Tigers burned me last week, so they owe me. Clemson has played two in state FCS schools so far this year and struggled to get their offense going early. I don't get this spread, perhaps Im missing something, but I doubt it. Auburn has enough offense and defense to get the win, even on the road.Loss.

3 Units.

Tennessee +10 Last week was a test of sorts for the Vols and they passed, beating the Bearcats pretty soundly. The Gators have played and beaten FAU and UAB, im not impressed. 10 points is alot and I expect the Vols QB play to keep this game within 7.Push.

3 Units.

Houston -7 The Bulldogs play solid D at home, Im just not sure if the La. Tech offense can keep pace with Case Keenum. Should be a close game early but the Cougars will pull away in the 2nd half.Loss.

3 Units.

NFL Picks

Bears +7 Bears looked good last week against the falcons, on the road against New Orleans will be a test for them but the Saints are alot like the Falcons, powerful on offense and sketchy on defense. The Bears will no doubt come to play as Urlacher will be back for the game and playing for his mother who passed away this week. Look for his teammates to step up to get that done, Bears keep it within 7.Loss.

2 Units.

Bills -3 After a short week and a cross country trip the Raiders won't be focused to play the "lowly" Bills here. Lets face it, Buffalo isn't an easy place to play regardless. Fitzpatrick shredded the Chiefs last week and I see that trend continuing here. Look for big games from Johnson and Jackson as well.Push.

2 Units.

Ravens -6 The Titans are garbage. Chris Johnson is not in game shape and Mike Munchak doesn't know how to use him. The Titans will have no success on the ground forcing Hassellback to throw and Ed Reed will enjoy that. Ravens easily.Loss.

3 Units.

Eagles -3 The Georgia Dome will be rocking for Vick's homecoming, once again the Falcons defense will fail to stop the Philly offense. I know Matt Ryan is great in the Dome but Philly will make enough plays to make a statement to the rest of the NFC, Falcons fall to 0-2.Loss.

2 Units.

Bucs +3 Tampa played decent against a good Lions team last week and the Vikings are having some serious problems at QB. Mcnabb was ineffective to say the least last week and the young Bucs will be hungry for a win, I like Tampa and the points here!Win!

2 Units.

NFL 2011 Week #1 Picks

What we generally do............in this country, is I make a bet................and Vegas pays me for it! Had a decent week #1 in college action going 4-1 (thanks again Oregon) and picking up 9 units. Lets hope that translates in to more of Vegas hard earned $$ finding its way to my online superfund!

Packers -4 I looked at the opening weekend lines and I thought "what can I use you fah?" rhetorical question......money is the answer. Packers have all their weapons back and last time I looked in the dictionary the Saints got phonebooked by the Seattle Seahawks. The Saints haven't really made enough improvements to make me think they can stay within 4 points of the Superbowl champs at home. Win!

3 Units.

Steelers +3 Guy at work today asked me if I knew who John Lennon was, I responded of course with "yeah, he was the President before Lincoln." He said "you must be a gambler" I said you show me a point spread and I'll get you something out of it. Steelers on the road @ the Ravens. Same story as above, this game is always tight, so I take the team that's getting points. The principles of detection tell me that's the Steelers.Loss.

2 Units.

Bears +3 NFC title game team getting points at home against an over hyped Atlanta squad? Yes please. Cutler will have a chip on his shoulder in this one. Atlanta has too many holes on defense for me to buy them here and they will be more worried about the Bucs week #2 due to the division game and all. Bears outright.Win!

3 Units.

Rams +6 (and climbing) Are you a psychiatrist? Well, if I was I would ask why the Eagles are laying 6 on the road to Bradford & Company and I bet if I was Sigmund Freud himself I wouldn't get an answer. The public will pound Philly all year long due to the self imposed "Dream Team" moniker. Look out for St. Louis this year, they have some nice pieces and some progressing young talent.Loss.

2 Units.

Giants -3 Some people don't trust a handicapper with an immaculate record, I have an immaculate record. Go ahead Giants lose on September 11th to the Redskins, the press will chop you up and feed you to the poor. Redskins are home, but it won't help. This team is going to be bad. Loss.

2 Units.

Pats-7 You fellas from Providence? "Isn't any business of yours now is it?" You deliverin' money or somethin? Because if you are it will probably belong to me after the Pats continue their domination of the Fish on Monday night in South Beach.Win!

2 Units

Lions +1 I thought it was nice you asked me which hand I gamble with, as I remember Vegas isn't that sentimental. The Lions are looking pretty good. The edge I see hear is Detroit's D-line versus the Bucs O-line, win for Detroit. I'm a little concerned that Freeman won't have time to find his WR's. Stafford will be upright and can really throw the ball around, Megatron has a big day, so does my bank account. Win!

Enjoy! Short and to the point (that's what she said)

Week #15 NFL Pick 'em

I didn't have a good Sunday last week, pretty frustrating as a matter of fact. We are now sitting at 41-32-2 on the NFL season. I should have a pretty heavy slate this Sunday. I will be adding picks here and there as I breakdown match ups. Lets see what we have batting lead off this week.

Chargers -8 Hard to bet against Rivers when it's November or later. The Chargers offense is almost back to full strength and the Bolts D ranks among the highest in both categories in the NFL. The 49ers are traveling on a short week and the Chargers are not the Seahawks especially coming off a big win versus the Chiefs. Qualcomm will be rocking as the San Diegans? San Diegoans? Will be filled with the holiday spirits. 5 units. Win.

Jaguars +5 I locked this spread in early as I expect it to be around +3.5 by kick-off time. This game is always close, decided by 7 points or less and that's when the Jags aren't playing as good as they are right now. MJD will gash the Colts defense and keep Peyton pouting on the bench. I really like this game as the Jags have alot to play for here and can lock up the division AND sweep the rival Colts with a win. 5 units. Loss.

Falcons -7 I don't normally like to take the Falcons on the road, but the defense has looked portable as of late. I took them a few weeks ago when they beat the Rams on the road and the spread was -3, in my opinion the Rams are better than Seattle and the Seahawks will probably be pee-pee smacked after embarrassing me and themselves by getting projectile vomited by the 49ers on Sunday. 3 units. Win.

Steelers -6 I hate Troy Polamalu unless I have money on his team, this week I shall be a fan. He absolutely crushed me last week due to the fact I had Cincy +9 and Carson Palmer still thinks he is at USC. The Jets if you listen to the show are frauds, I said so before the start of the season, write that down. The Jets just can't respond if they get hit in the mouth, by that I mean scored on first and scored on quickly. Much like myself the Steelers will score quickly while the Jets lay on their backs with their legs behind their ears. 3 units. Loss.

Saints +1 New Orleans has found their offensive stride once again and are stacked at the running back position with Bush, Thomas and Ivory all contributing. Brees seems to have overcome his turnover problems as the running game now has to be accounted for again. The Ravens defense has shown some holes this season and are not the formidable stop unit they have been of seasons past. Joe the Quarterback has been spotty and I am not sure if he can match the Saints production. 2 units. Loss.

Bills +6 Buffalo travels to Miami and the Dolphins for whatever reason hate winning games at home game. After their big win against the Jets last week the Fins could be primed for a let down here. The Bills somehow shut down Peyton Hillis last week so maybe their defense will show up again this Sunday, either way the Bills should be able to keep this contest within 6. 1 unit. Win.

Eagles+3 Leading Pro Bowl vote getter Micheal Vick takes the Eagles into a divisional showdown at the New Meadowlands against the G-Men. This game should be close, so I like getting points here. The Giants hate beating the Eagles and Eli is too prone to the turnover for me to take the other side. huge game for both teams, as long as Vick stays upright we should be good. 1 unit. Win.

Cardinals +3 The Panthers have some serious issues at QB, John Fox seems to not care about his possible unemployment although his named has already been tossed out there for a head coach vacancy. The Panthers are holding the lottery ticket to Andrew Luck in their paws and most likely will not show up for this game. 2 units. Loss.

Browns +1 I locked this game in as soon as the lines went up and it has since been pulled. Both Ocho Cinco and T.O. are banged up for this game, which might be a good thing. Palmer is a shell of his former self and the Bengals are a total mess. The Browns get Colt Mccoy back which means they have a passing game which should open things up for Peyton Hillis against a banged up Bengals defense. 4 units. Loss.

There you have it 9 games, I'm due for a huge Sunday lets hope this is it.

NFL Week #14 Pick 'em

Had a user unfriendly weekend this past weekend. Wrapped up the college regular season going 33-30-5, made some money there. In NFL action we are siting at 37-28-2 with a huge slate of games set for today, so be that I'm already running late lets get to the picks.

Chargers -10 Bounce back game for the Bolts here, a much needed home win opportunity presents itself for the Chargers here. The Chiefs should be relying heavily on the running game here with Cassell out and Croyle starting on the road. Let's hope the Chargers can stop the run this week and get some payback on KC. 3 units. Win.

Ravens -3 Coming off a tough loss to the Steelers the Ravens get to go on the road and play the Texans who are not very good on defense. The Ravens need this win to keep pace with Pittsburgh in the AFC North. Flacco should have a decent game against the less than stellar Texans defense. 2 units. Win.

Bengals +9 This is the Bengals Superbowl game and opportunity to give a hated rival an early Christmas present of a loss. The Steelers are coming of a huge win on the road against Baltimore and could be looking past the Bungals. Cincy has been making a habit of coming back late in games to get a backdoor cover. 1 unit. Loss.

Browns+1 Cleveland goes to play in Buffalo, even though Jake Delhomme is their QB the Browns Peyton Hillis will have a field day against a terrible Bills stop unit who has given up nearly 500 yards on the ground the last two weeks. The Browns pass defense will do enough to keep the Bills offense from producing. 2 units. Loss.

Rams +10 The Saints are laying too many points here, even though they are at home and the Rams do not play so well on the road. Bradford shouldn't have much trouble carving up the Saints wishy-washy defense and the Rams D will do enough to keep them in this game. 5 units. Loss.

Seahawks +6 The 49ers shouldn't be favored by 6 against anyone. Singletary continues to play musical QB and they will have an affect on his team as will the loss of Frank Gore who is integral to the 49ers offense. Given those two factors you cant tell me that the 49ers should be favored by a touchdown. 2 units. Loss.

Pats -3 Should be a sloppy game due to field and weather conditions, but for me the Pats are just playing too well right now and laying money on Cutler is never endearing to me. Usually games like this its a safe bet to take the dog, however I just can't go against the Hoodie & Company right now. 2 units. Win.

Dolphins +6 Henne has been playing better QB as the Dolphins head to the new Meadowlands for a divisional game with the hated Jets. The Sanchise has been less than impressive as has the Jets defense. Their record doesn't reflect all the close games they barely squeaked out, the Dolphins can keep it within 6. 4 units. Win.

Broncos -4 Why not right? The Cards struggle to produce offense even with their starting QB under center, now they are trotting out 3rd stringer John Skelton, from?????? Fordham. We know that the Broncos offense can put up points quickly lets hope the defense gives us the same performance they did last week against KC. 3 units. Loss.

There you go 8 games on tap, lets get some double digit money for our Monday morning deposit.

NFL Week #13 Pick 'em

Great weekend last Sunday, I went 6-2 ATS on my NFL action for +10 units. We are going a little light on units this Sunday, noting really jumped out at me for a multi unit play. I am sitting at 34-26-2 and have been on fire the last few weeks, so lets keep that trend in lockstep.

Dolphins -4 Henne looked sharp last week on the left coast, The Fins are at home this week and Jake Delhomme is the QB for the Browns and he is as useless as a football bat or a pair of swim cleats, write that down!
1 unit. Loss.

Saints -7 Brees and company seemed to have figured it out and the Bengals are a garage sale inside of a double wide that is currently on fire. Bengals are at home, but for some reason they are getting too much credit in this game. Saints easy.
3 units. Loss.

Rams -3 The Cards cannot run or throw the ball and that trend will continue as they stumble through their Kurt Warner-less season. I have been pounding the Rams all season. Bradford is a stud and doesn't throw picks, he uses his young WR's well and the defense is good enough to keep the Cardinals at bay, even on the road.
2 units.Win.

Steelers -3 A rare appearance by Rapistberger in Baltimore, this is a must have game for the Steelers. If they get swept by the Ravens they might not get into the playoffs even as a Wildcard. These games are usually very close but the Ravens offense has been sluggish as of late.Win.

Pats -3 New England is playing much better ball lately the Jets have been winning but have really been squeaking by with the exception of the beat down of Cincy last week. Brady is on fire and the Pats D is making moves, Pays cover at home.
2 units.Win.

There you have it another highly profitable Sunday of football.

Thursday, November 25, 2010

NFL Week #12 Pick 'em

13 units of profit handed out last Sunday alone. Went 5-2 ATS which brings us to a record of 28-24-2. I have a huge slate of action for tonight and Sunday as those of you who listened to last nights show are well aware of. Let's get to the action, I will start off with the Thanksgiving Day games we have on tap for today.

Patriots -7 Pats seeking the best record in the NFL here, the Lions have been dreadful on Turkey Day over the last few years. While they have improved they just won't have the weapons to stay in this game the whole way. The Pats have supplemented their erratic defense by creating turnovers, look for that trend to continue, the Pats take it by 10.
4 units. Win.

Jets -9 I think this is the first time I have taken the Jets this year. They have had some close games the last three weeks against teams who are improving. The Bengals however are not improving, coming in a 2-8 they are little more than just showing up to the game. Palmer is hurt but will play we will see how the foot injury impacts his passing game. T.O. has been running his mouth about Revis so that might give the Jets a little motivation to make an example of Cincy.
2 units. Win.

Buccaneers +8 The surprise Bucs head to Baltimore to play the Ravens. I like the Bucs to cover the 8 here as Freeman has played well and Baltimore has had trouble with big point spreads this season. The Ravens might not of covered last week were it not for two late interceptions of St. Pierre for Ravens touchdowns. The Ravens get it done but t will be closer than you think.
1 unit. Win.

Rams +4 I have been on the Rams all year with the exception of last week. They are a solid squad and Bradford should fare well against the Broncos D. I know the Rams aren't quite road warriors but Denver shouldn't really be laying more than 2 here. The Broncos are still getting credit for their blowout win over KC, how long is Vegas gonna ride that scooter?
2 units.

Eagles -3 The Eagles need to play a good game here as they looked like garbage last week and were fortunate enough to win over the Giants. I think the Bears are a solid squad, but much like my Falcons they lack any kind of consistency on the offensive side of the ball and laying points with Jay Cutler scares me as he was less than impressive against the Dolphins last week, that's saying alot with Miami's meager secondary play. The Bears defense is nasty as usual and generates points for them, the way to stop that is to not turn the ball over. Vick and company need a solid outing here to stand out in the NFC.
2 units. Loss.

Packers +2 Aaron Rodgers getting points? Sign me up for 5 units please. As discussed earlier the Falcons are hit and miss and the Packers are getting healthy. Ryan is hard to beat at home yes, but Atlanta has had some ugly home wins this season. I don't like them in this spot and Vegas thinks the Packers are better or the spread would have been +3.
5 units. Loss.

Jaguars +8 I haven't been a fan of the Jags, but they seem to be more and more stable as the weeks go by. Garrard has been playing well and MJD has been finding the endzone as of late. The Giants on the other hand have a beat up O-line and have struggled mightily in the red zone as evident by last weeks game with Philly. Eli has some problems at WR with his two work horses out in Nicks and Smith. Its just too many points for the Giants to cover.
3 units. Win.

Chargers +3 I love this game, San Diego is getting into mid season form and rolling over opponents, Rivers is in a dog fight with Rodgers for the MVP and Vincent Jackson will be back. Who knows how productive he will be but he still has to be accounted for. Also Malcolm Floyd has returned to the line up. Mike Tolbert from........................? Coastal Carolina has been picking up the slack in the running game well. Manning just doesn't have the weapons right now and his numbers reflect that, the Colts still lack a running game and also struggle to stop the run. I like the Chargers outright.
4 units.

There you go 8 games to give you the ability to transform into a cash business yourself. After this slate you will be able to do your Christmas shopping and leave your credit cards at home. Write that down!

NFL Week #11

Lagging behind with my picks, but I have a big slate of action for Sunday so lets get to the money making shall we?

Eagles -3 The G'men come limping into the Linc for a road tilt. Simply put the Giants are too beat up on the O-line and the Eagles and Vick are on fire.
5 units. Win.

Ravens -11 Brian St. Pierre from? Exactly who is this guy. I don't like laying this many points but I don't know how the Panthers will score, this team is bad. Ravens need a win to keep a leg up on Pittsburgh.
4 units. Win.

Packers -3 This was a close game in Lambeau, not so much this time. The Packers are getting healthy and coming off a bye. The Vikings are done and will put on a show early but will fold up shop in the second half.
4 units. Win.

Bills +6 Bills are fresh off a win and the Bengals have stopped playing football. I like the Bills to keep this one within a FG.
2 units. Win.

Browns +2 This is the first team that Colt Mccoy has faced that wasn't in the playoffs last season. I like Mccoy to get it done against the Jags using Hillis and defense for the outright win.
3 units. Loss.

Seahawks +12 The Seahawks are iffy on the road, but Brees has had turnover issues this year. The Saints get Reggie Bush back this week but this is just too many points Seahawks keep it within 12.
2 units. Loss.

Falcons -3 I rarely bet on my team, but if Atlanta wants to prove that they are an upper crust squad they need to put away the upstart Rams on the road. Ryan isn't the best on the the road but he is good in a dome, I like the Falcons to cover.
2 units. Win.

There you have it, 6 money makers to cash out on enjoy. I should have my picks up on Thursday next week, been really busy this week, so bare with me money fans.

NFL Week #10 Pick 'em

Running a little behind with the NFL picks this week but if you listened to the show on Thursday night you will already know my NFL picks and have received my breakdowns on all the games. I went 4-0-1 last Sunday so that brings me to 20-19-2 on the NFL season so we are back over .500 which means I am making you money. Lets get to the picks I like some games alot this week and here they are.

Bengals +7 Palmer and T.O. have a good thing going. Jordan Shipley and Grisham are showing up to the party as well. Benson should have a solid outing as Indy is weak against the run. Colts win, but this is a great match up for Cincy and our bank accounts.
4 units. Win.

Rams +6 I have been on the Rams all season and they have delivered for me. The 49ers shouldn't be favored against anyone, not even the Bills. Coming off a bye Jackson and Bradford will have a nice game. The Rams young but talented D will guarantee a bad day for Troy Smith. Rams outright.
2 units. Win.

Giants -14 Big Blue has turned the corner, the Cowboys are awful and their new coach Jason Garrett hasn't endeared himself to his new troops by making them practice in full pads all week. Giants win in a blowout.
4 units. Loss.

Titans -1 Randy Moss will make his presence felt and stretch the field for Chris Johnson and VY, the Dolphins secondary isn't having a good year and I don't see Chad Pennington leading this team to a win over an underrated Titans squad.
2 units. Loss.

Texans +1 I'm not buying the Jags, even at home. Schaub needs to have a good game against a very pedestrian Jags secondary. Conference game here and the Texans need to show some signs of life. Foster needs to be a factor for Houston to get the win.
1 unit. Loss.

Patriots +5 The Hoodie doesn't lose back to back games and the Steelers D is showing some cracks as of late, I like the points here and the fact that Tom Brady and Belichek don't lose back to back games.
3 units. Win.

There you go money fans, 6 winners for you cash addiction fix. See you next week.

Week #9 NFL Pick 'em

Couple nice games we can jump on this Sunday, I had a dismal 3-2 performance last Sunday. It didn't make me very happy. I need perfection or close to this weekend. Tune into the show tonight at 9:00 PM EST, The Vegas Takedown Show can only be heard at www.blogtalkradio.com/gametheory Lets see whats on the money train before we rob it shall we?

Colts +3 Peyton Manning as a dog I like it, sign me up. Vick, Jackson and Mccoy will be a little rusty due to injuries and the Eagles defense can't stop the unrelenting barrage of Colts weaponry. I like the Colts to win outright.
4 units.

Bills +3 Our neighbors to the north get to take in our finest export as the Bears and Bills will play in Toronto. The Bills will get their first win of the season they have been playing everyone tough since Fitzpatrick has taken over the offense. Martz will not use his running backs and will no doubt leave Cutler in a bad spot against an improved Bills pass rush. Buffalo's secondary has been playing better as of late too. The Bears offensive line can't pass protect and Cutler will be getting hit alot.
2 units. Push.

Browns +6 The Pats own the best record in the league and I think this will be a look ahead game for them as the Browns come to Foxboro. The Browns have been playing hard behind Colt Mccoy and Peyton Hillis had a week off the get some rest and heal up. The Browns will stay in this game, Pats win by 2.
2 units. Win.

Cardinals +9 The Vikings season is all but done, they have waaaaay too many issues to get up for a crap Cards squad led by Derek Anderson. 9 points is too much in this spot. Vikings should squeak this game out but not by 9.
3 units. Win.

Chargers -3 I am taking the Bolts as a road favorite. Phillip Rivers is my pick for NFL MVP write that down. The Texans are garbage and will not be able to stop Rivers he should easily put up 400 yards passing in this contest. Rivers will be getting some of his weapons back and the Chargers running game is starting to get on track. Chargers by 5.
2 units. Win.

There you have it folks, tune in tonight for some more in depth analysis on my picks. See you then.

Week #7 NFL Picks

Another dismal performance on Sunday brings me to 12-18-4 on the NFL season. Vegas is really pounding the public this year, its been almost unrelenting, but instead of pouting I will continue to drive on and tinker with my mechanics until we get dialed in. Here is what I have simmering in the cash crock this NFL Sunday.

Patriots +3 The Chargers are decent at home, but Tom Brady is still Tom Brady. Rivers can't do everything himself, the Bolts running game has been a bust and injuries to Gates, Floyd and a banged up Nene. The Pats will be confident after beating the Ravens in a solid game last Sunday. Rivers simply doesn't have the tools to win by more than 3. I like the Pats in this spot.
2 units. Win.

Browns +14 Try an hold off till Sunday to take this play as I expect the line to shift to +14.5 between now and then, that extra one point creates a nice advantage your way. Colt McCoy played pretty decent against the stout Steelers D all things being considered. Brees rebounded nicely at Tampa Bay's expense, don't expect that again as the Bucs secondary is not very good and missing their best player Tanard Robinson to suspension. The Browns defense is pretty solid and McCoy used his tight ends wisely for some nice gains, also the Saints aren't very good against tight ends. Again, wait and see if the line moves if it does don't be shy to load up. The Saints are as tough at home as the Steelers are.
1 unit. Win.

Seahawks -6 Seattle is tough to beat at home and are coming off a nice road win against the Bears. This is a divisional game so the Seahawks should be ready to go. The Cards are coming to town with undrafted rookie QB Max Hall who did nothing in his first start in the NFL. I don't think he will fare well against the 12th man. Somehow the Seahawks have come up with a solid run stop unit. Seattle is weak against the pass, but Max Hall didn't do much passing in his first start.
1 unit. Win.

Rams +3 The Rams have been making me some money this season. I like them on the road here against Tampa. Bradford had a bounce back game last week. The Rams got blown out in their last road tilt, but I will chalk that up to the team going flat after seeing Clayton their biggest play maker go down. Since then Bradford has found a couple new play makers, Bradford should be able to move the ball with ease against the Bucs porous secondary. This will open things up for Steven Jackson on the ground and he should have a big day against the Bucs non-existent run stop unit.
2 units. Win.

49ers -3 The Panthers are bad, they have no QB or wide outs and their running game has been limited because teams are focusing on stopping it and forcing the Panthers to pass. Matt Moore is back as he will be good for throwing some picks the 49ers way. The 49ers got their fist win last week and held the Raiders in check. I like the 49ers to extend their winning streak to two here, if they want to get back into the NFC West scrum they need this game. Loss.

There you have it, lets hope for some account recovery this weekend as we all need it. Be sure to catch the show tomorrow night at 9:00pm only at www.blogtalkradio.com/gametheory

NFL Week #5 Against the Spread Picks

My weekend started off good with a Nebraska cover and 3 more units added to my bank account so that is good times. Lets hope the trend continues into Sunday. There isn't much I am excited about in the NFL this weekend so we will have some small plays this week.

Broncos +7 A good sports bettor always takes into a count some off the field trends, professional sports teams do hit flat spots at certain points in the season after winning a big game against or losing to a rival. I think that is the spot the Ravens are in right here, Flacco beat the hated Steelers last Sunday on a late TD points putting Baltimore in the drivers seat in the AFC North. The Ravens will win this contest but I don't know how thrilled they will be in playing the .500 Broncos and neck beard. Meanwhile Kyle Orton is leading the NFL best pass offense into the Ravens nest.
1 unit.

Bills Pick The Jags just won the biggest game of their season against the rival Colts, as a reward Jack Del Rio rewarded his troops with a trip to Buffalo! Yeaaaaaaaah! This game should be deathly boring, I do like the Bills to pull out the win though. Fitzpatrick seems to work within the Bills "offense" and CJ Spiller is starting to get going. The Jags aren't going to want to show up for this game and Del Rio hates preparing for opponents not in his division.
1 unit.

Rams +3 I think the wrong team is favored here, the Lions have been playing well and staying in games but I don't know if they are quite ready to be favored. Rams are coming in at 2-2 and on a two game winning streak, so they might be feeling a little disrespected. Bradford and Clayton seem to be working well and Stephen Jackson is his usual self. Also, the Rams defense is pretty stingy, I think they can stay in this contest.
1 unit.

Packers -3 Redskins just won a very important game at Philly, couple that with the fact the Redskins also don not like to cover at home. Rogers needs a big game as the powers that be have been talking about how the Packers maybe weren't the right pick for the Superbowl. I don't know how the Redskins will defend against Green Bay's passing attack, both teams are less than stellar on the ground and i have to give the nod to the Packers defense.
2 units.

Falcons -3 I am assuming that Seneca Wallace will be the QB this week again. Well I have bad news for you Mr. I hate the Blanket. The Falcons will stop your run game and force you to throw, this will not work out to well as you will be intercepted and the ball will be returned to it's rightful place which is inside of your end zone. The Browns beat the Bengals last week but the Falcons are a different animal altogether, I know Matt Ryan struggles outside of a dime but I think the 49ers put a scare into Atlanta last week and they should get it back on track offensively here.
3 units.

There we have it picks for NFL Sunday, enjoy.

NFL Week #4 Free Money Give Away!!

Alright decent Sunday last Sunday, I went 4-2 ATS bringing me to 9-7 for the young season. College and NFL combined I am 16-14-2. Vegas is continuing to hot air balloon the public, all the Microfinance companies are probably getting hit up for short term loans as the casual bettor is literally losing his shirt. Make sure that you tune in tonight to our Vegas Takedown Show tonight at 9PM @ www.blogtalkradio.com/gametheory become a fan of the show and most importantly LISTEN to the show, call in tell us what you think about our picks and how much you like winning money from the comforts of your couch while the wife is out shopping. Here is what I have for Sunday's NFL action.

Bengals -3 Cincy is not looking sharp on offense, Palmer isn't doing anything on offense. We are due for a big game from Ocho-cinco and T.O. Hopefully this is the week where that happens. The Bengals squeaked out a win in Carolina, yeah I know Claussen played, however the Panthers D is solid and doesn't get much credit because of their 0-3 record. Delhomme will be back so the Iowa State cover buster won't be playing. The Bengals defense should guide us to the money lane here.
1 unit. Loss.

Rams +2 Seahawks away from home are a dumpster fire. Rams are undervalued, Bradford is the exception to the rookie rule. Both teams have some work to do on defense but I think the Rams will have a slight edge here. The Seahawks got lucky with 14 points from two kickoff returns from Leon Washington. I think the wrong team is favored here and I will always take advantage of any gift Vegas attempts to slide by the average joe.
2 units. Win.

Redskins +6 I don't quite get his line its about 2 points too high. I guess the reason for that would be because Vick is the player of the month and also due to the fact that he lit up two secondary's ranked near the bottom of the league in pass defense. Hopefully the Philly faithful give Mcnabb a warm welcome that way we can remove the money from the sweaty palms of Vegas. Mcnabb will no doubt have a chip on his shoulder coming back home to a team that basically discarded him like a piece of used furniture. The Redskins will be playing hard to help their new signal caller get a big win. I know the Eagles have the edge in weaponry with Jackson, Maclin and Mccoy, but lets dig a little deeper. Mcnabb has played against this defense for a long time, if anyone knows the holes in the Eagles D its Mcnabb, plus we are getting 6 points? Me likey!
2 units.Win.

Bears +4 Hmmmm...........why do I have a feeling that I am walking into a trap here. Hell with it I'm taking the Bears and the points. Bears are rolling right now beating the Cowgirls and the Packers in consecutive weeks. Cutler seems to have found his niche under the Martz system. The Bears defense has looked pretty solid. Manning isn't Aaron Rodgers and doesn't really have the weapons on offense that Cutler does. The Bears will be zeroing in on Hakeem Nicks and they should also be able to squash the run. The Bears are believing in themselves Forte is having a bounce back year in his new rule and Hester and Knox seem to be relishing their new offense. Also Greg Olsen has come alive of late. Chicago goes to 4-0 and the G'men are headed for a world of hurt.
1 unit. Loss.

Dolphins +2 Joe Robbie/ Landshark/ Sun Life stadium has been a House of Horrors for Brady and company when they come down to Miami. Dolphins are still underrated even though they beat the Vikings and Bills, on the road, which are both tough places to play. The Pats defense looks pretty bad as Ryan Fitzpatrick sliced and diced them in a shootout in Foxboro last week. The Dolphins defense is pretty good, that being said this should be a high scoring game. Chad Henne loves him some Brandon Marshall and both should have a huge game against a pedestrian Pats secondary. Ronnie Brown will be doing his usual Wildcat action back there keeping Henne in 3rd and short, Dolphins in a covered win.
3 units. Loss.

Panthers +14 I'm taking this game simply on a trend, when the Super Bowl champs lose the week prior they struggle the next week to cover. Also the Saints are 2-7 ATS under Payton as favorites of 10 or more. Write it down. Drew Brees is hurt and will be wearing a brace on his left knee. The Panthers won't have to account for Reggie Bush either. Like I said earlier the Panthers defense is pretty good. Look for the Panthers to copy the Falcons game plan with Williams and Stewart pounding away against the Saints less than stellar run stop unit, this will chew up clock and keep Brees on the sideline. 14 points here is too much for a divisional game and the road team has won 9 of the last 13 games in this series. How copy?
1 unit. Win.

Jaguars +8 The Jags are built to play one team and that is the Colts. The Jags will be bringing it this game as this is the game they look forward to playing. If you have been following my blog that last few seasons you will notice that I always take the dog and the points in this game because out of the last 16 games these two teams have played only twice has the difference been more than 8 points, I'll let you do the math on this one. The Colts were sleep walking through their game with Denver so I doubt they will be clicking their heels to go play the hapless Jags on the road. The Colts struggle to run the ball and I think the Jags will be able to stay in this game, Colts win by 5.
1 unit. Win.

There it is fellow Game Theorists, enjoy the money. I know I had some light plays this week but unless a game really excites me I'm not going to drop a car payment on it. Don't forget to tune in tonight at 9PM and listen to the show @ www.blogtalkradio.com/gametheory

NFL Week #3 Free money give away!!

After a dreadful weekend in my NFL picks department I'm going to step away from trends and go with what the teams have shown thus far in the first two games of the season. I won't be satisfied with anything but a perfect record for this Sunday. Vegas has skulldrug my account and has hammered the casual bettor and scored a major blow on their bank rolls. Time to turn the tables. Vegas for the second week crushed the public with the Lions, 49ers, Dolphins, Bears, Jets and Bengals all beat the number. The only games Vegas got hammered with was the Falcons beating the brakes off the Cardinals and the Pack beating the Bills. So lets get some revenge starting now shall we?

Patriots -14 New England needs a bounce back game after getting boatraced by the Jets last week. It was an abysmal performance for Brady's Boys. What better than having Ryan Fitzpatrick and the hapless Bills stumble in town for a New England style beat down. The Pats will use this game to get all the kinks worked out.
2 units. Loss.

Titans +3 I think we are getting some value here with the Titans losing to Pittsburgh last week. VY had 7 turnovers but yet the Titans only lost by 8 points. The Steelers defense is ridiculous so I will take this value and the three points to the cash cage as I don't see how the G'men can get it done even though they are at home. Chris Johnson should be motivated to run hard after last weeks performance. The Giants can't stop the run, and it will also be hard for them to defend VY from running wild. Lets not forget VY is a winner and a covering machine. The Giants cannot pass protect or run block despite the fact that they have no running backs, Jacobs is a crybaby and Bradshaw is a shell of his former self.
3 units. Win.

Steelers -3 Ok Tampa will be at home and they are 2-0 with wins versus the Browns and the Panthers...............yawn. The Steelers defense is almost unfair and I am not sure if the young talent on Tampa's offense will have much success against it. Batch will be at QB for the Steelers and the Bucs should be getting a steady diet of Medenhall. The Steelers have beaten two solid squads without rapistberger behind center. The Steelers will put the effort in to back up Batch and get the win. The spread on this game tells me that Vegas has no respect for Batch, but after this game Vegas will respect my account with a prompt payment.
2 units. Win.

Bengals -3 The public is pounding the Bengals which worries me because Vegas as I said earlier has been real shady so far this season. Who knows maybe this week common sense kicked in and they are giving the public a chance to get some cash money. The Bengals destroyed Flacco last week and also had a couple calls go their way against the Ravens. The Bengasl have a good defense and I don't see how Notre Lame wonder boy will be able to move on them. On the other side of the ball Palmer is garbage too but not as bad as Claussen. This will be a low scoring affair with the Bengals pulling it out 20-14.
2 units. Win.

49ers -3 Yeah it's a short week and they have to go to Arrowhead after losing to the Saints on Monday night and putting it all on the line only to lose in the end. The 49ers are a desperate team right now and I see some value here. If they don't win this game heads are gonna roll in San Fran you can write that down. The Chiefs are undefeated but they one a Monday night game at home against and overrated Chargers squad and squeaked by the Garbage Pail Kid Browns last week. The undefeated season stops here. Cassell is terrible and Todd Haley refuses to give the ball to their most talented player Jamaal Charles. Thomas Jones had twice as many carries last week than Charles but yet they both had the same amount of yardage. Not to mention Charles is on to of my fantasy teams and I am leaving points on the table because of Haley. 49ers leave KC with their first much need win.
3 units. Loss.

Eagles -3 Again I am laying money on a dog killer and I hate myself for it. That being said Jacksonville is terrible they made the Chargers look like a Superbowl team as they got their doors blown off last week. The Eagles will be playing hard in this game for the ASPCA's least favorite QB and to prove to Reid that he made the right choice. You really can't argue the logic by the Fatman. The Eagles O-line is crap and Vick has the speed to create plays as opposed to the statue like Kolb who would not doubt get sacked 10 times in this game. Eagles leave the Sunshine state with a win and Mike make sure you stay away from my dogs while you are in my state.
3 units. Win.

Weekend Recap NCAA Week 12 & NFL Week 11

First lets start out by letting the readers know that it is once again time for Yahoo! College Bowl Pick 'em. For those of you who would like to compete against The Blanket during the bowl season feel free to join, it is a public league on Yahoo! under the name "Potassium Exporters" (Group ID #1292). I will see you there! Anyone dare try and take my trophy from me??! Now on to the details of this weekend. I had a decent Saturday, I went 7-3 on posted action, then I had a late trigger pull on Oregon St & Oregon ML, both wins. 9-3 for my Saturday, I'll take it. However, I am not happy that I passed on UCF -21 and UNC +4, I knew I should have taken those games. I used the reverse psychology trend to snap me out of my funk, maybe it worked or maybe the teams I played on just did what they were supposed to do. I would also like to talk about how much Ohio St stinks, not only did you fail to cover the 12 against Michigan, you couldn't even score against them, truly pathetic. Forcier gave you 7 points, 4 interceptions and all you could muster against them was 21 points? What a joke. Good luck bringing that rag tag act into the Colosseum against the Ducks. What else..................Oh yeah...........bye bye coach Front Butt, I wasn't surprised to see ND go down at all. I called it matter 'o fact. I guess I fail to see the lure of ND, OK they were awesome when dinosaurs roamed the earth, who cares now. Claussen is an over-rated ESPN darling who will suffer the same fate as Quinn, sorry but Claussen is neither accurate or crisp with his throws. I also hope Tebow enjoys his 5th round selection, if he goes that high I might be surprised to tell you the truth. Why doesn't Zac Robinson get any credit? Oh that's right his coach isn't Urban Meyer or Front Butt. Well on to the NFL, where I struggled mightily I went .500 with the Titans +5 tonight. Disgusting. I took a beating yesterday in the 4PM games as well. However, after getting very frustrated and collecting my winnings of the Chargers cover I took all the money in my account and divided it by 3, put 1/3 on the Eagles -3, another 1/3 on the Eagles ML @ -170, and the last 1/3 on the Prop Bet Alternate line that had the Eagles +3.5 at -200. Me Likey!!!! Now my account is back up to acceptable levels at 30 units (that's my fighting weight). The Steelers crapped their pants and ruined my Sweetheart teaser I had them +2, thanks alot. Steelers have no business going to the playoffs and I hope they fail to make it, with that "vaunted Dick Lebaeu defense" the lowly Chiefs should not be throwing the ball all over the yard on you, unacceptable. Maybe you guys might wanna take each game seriously, nobody gives a crap that you are the Steelers and they are going to lay down for you. Keep it up and at the end of the season I call up Mike Tomlin and say "Losses, How many Yinz got??" Funsticks. I still have no idea who will be playing the Vikings in the Superbowl this year, I thought maybe the Bengals, but they proved last night they are a fraud. Could you imagine a Superbowl between the Bengals and the Saints, holy crap, talk about two annoying fan bases. How many times would the English language be butchered with "Who Dey?" and "Who Dat?". I'm not sold on the Colts, teams are catching on the Manning. Anyone for the Ravens or Patriots coming out of the AFC to play Favre in Miami? Oh yeah, before I go any feedback on my posting of the prop bets/ live dogs/sweetheart teasers? Love it? Hate it? What is he talking about? I will keep posting it on Sunday mornings and keep it up until the end of the 4 o'clock games. It's some what of an eye sore so I take it down, For those of you concerned with how I did, I lost my Sweetheart Teaser by 1 point (Thanks Steelers) I won 2 of the three prop bets and lost on 1 live dog (Browns).

NFL Week #11 Free Money Report

Need some money, Vegas tends to give out some freebies the week before Black Friday, maybe they will be generous considering they restocked their vaults with our money last weekend. The Blanket is not above taking handouts folks, cash is cash. Lets see what we have.

Panthers -3 Panthers have covered 4 of their last 5, however only 1 of those has been at home. I like going with the home team on these week night games. Ronnie Brown is out for the Dolphins, so its bye bye Wildcat and now Henne has to go against one of the leagues best secondaries on the road on a short week. Peppers has been great so far this year and should give Miami plenty of problems. John Beason is also a force at his LB position. Miami has a good run stop unit, but Williams and Stewart have been on a tear as of late. The Panthers seem to be a team on a mission as of late and they will be tied for second in the NFC South at the end of Sunday because the Falcons will lose to the Giants. Why you ask? Because the Falcons suck, that's why. Delhomme has been playing decent as well lately too and Miami will have to rely on a rookie corner to cover Steve Smith, doesn't sound like too much fun. 5 units. Loss. (Awesome!!)

Browns +4 Yup, I just wrote that. I will recall a recent conversation I had with Billy Vegas. He was unhappy with the Bears offense having trouble scoring on the Browns as they had to settle for several field goals in the early going. The Browns have a great defense, the problem is their offense is so bad they are on the field way too much. The Lions are punch less on defense, ranking near the bottom against the run and the pass. Stafford is still not 100% and the Browns gave the Ravens all kinds of problems on Monday night. The Ravens got only 9 points against the Browns D Monday night (not including the pick 6). Quinn threw 2 picks Monday night and will continue to throw the short crap, bubble screens, jailbreak screens, smoke screens, slip screens, starscream (j/k he is a decepticon). Lewis and company should have success on the ground here so Quinns 5 yard passes will be enough to move the chains here. I just don't think the Lions should be laying points to anyone. The Lions could also come out flat as they put alot into the Vikings game last week, it will be difficult for them to show up for the Browns. 2 units.Win.

Jags -9 The only reason I am taking this game is because the Bills fired Dick Jauron, mid-week. Not good. The Bills will be confused as everyone scrambles to learn their new jobs and come up with a game plan. Owens is doing his usual woe is me routine, and the Bills also have have a QB controversy. Furthermore the Bills cannot stop the run, just ask Chris Johnson. MJD will have a massive day and will have no problems running wild. The Jags are looking to keep pace with the Texans for a possible wildcard berth. The Jags hate covering but that is what the trends say, I am fading trends this week and going with my gut. I am making a small play on this game because I feel the 9 points is a bit much. 1 unit. Loss.

Colts Pick This looks to be the free gift from Vegas I was talking about. Manning seems to have figured it out as he was not sharp against the last three teams he has faced. Sad fact is that the Colts own the Ravens. The Ravens have some injuries on defense and I don't like their beleaguered secondary to stop Manning either. Freeney and Mathis will be neutralized in this game as Gaither and Oher are outstanding tackles, but Flacco is not Tom Brady. Ray Rice should be productive here. The Colts have a very talented secondary and should be able to handle Baltimore's WR's with little problems. So it boils down to Manning versus the Ravens CB's and Safeties and Ray Rice versus the Colts D-line and LB's. T Sizzle is out for this game thanks to Brady Quinn taking a cheap shot on him. I also think that Trevor Pryce is a little banged up for this contest. 5 units. Win.

Steelers -10 I expect a pissed off Steelers squad to show up in this game. The Steelers really need this game to stay in the Wildcard fight as it looks like they will be unable to catch the Bengals after a season sweep. The Steelers also have the Ravens nipping at their heels. The Chiefs lost Dwanye Bowe for 4 games, ouch. Chambers is too old and Lance Long is not the Wes Welker people are trying to make him into. Cassell will struggle in this game, the Steelers cannot be run on so Jamaal Charles will have a tough day on the ground. The Steelers have not been covering this year but as I said before they really need this game and should not be messing around with the lowly Chiefs. Rothlisberger has too many weapons for KC to account for, if only Matt Cassell had that problem. Troy Polamalu should be playing in this game, lets hope their secondary makes some plays. 2 units. Loss.

Vikings -11 I expect the Seahawks will just mail this one in as their season is all but over. Forsett will not be able to run against the Williams Wall and Winfield will be back for the Vikings so Burleson might go another game without making a catch. The Seahawks run stop has been doing anything but that, now they have to face the premier back in the NFL. Peterson should have a huge day here. Matt Hassellbeck has no pass protection even with Locklear returning the Cards got to him several times. How do you think Jared Allen will fare? Good? How do you think our accounts will fare? Even better! 3 units.Win.

Redskins +11 Cowboys looked like dogshit last week, and could be doubting themselves here. The Redskins took apart a Broncos team that is coming back down to earth. Romo has no help, Williams is garbage and Austin will be covered tightly as the Redskins have a solid secondary. Who does that leave? Crayton? hahahahah!! Maybe Whitten. Barber is still banged up and Romo has protection problems with Columbo going down with a broken fibula. Mike Jenkins and Ken Hamlin also got nicked up last week so they could be iffy. Haynesworth is also iffy for this game. I am siding with the Redskins here due to the fact that this division game and is usually tightly contested. 1 unit.Win.

Buccaneers +11 The Saints have some injuries piling up, they should show here as Bulger had a solid day against them last week. If Freeman can protect the football this game could end up being very close. The Bucs and Saints flat out do not care for one another. The Saints secondary is really banged Sharper and Greer are among them and Brees has not exactly been lighting it up lately either. Freeman at home should be able to keep the Bucs close, they are a dangerous team right now and will fight the whole game. 1 unit.Loss.

Cardinals -9 Looks like future HOF'er Kurt Warner is getting healthy, he has been looking alot better as of late and could be benefiting from a run game that has vastly improved. The Cardinals run stop unit has been taking on water as of late so they really need to concentrate on stopping Steven Jackson, who just refuses to lay down and quit. If they load the box for Jackson the secondary for the Cards is good enough to shut down the passing game. Rodgers-Cromartie held Burelson to zero catches last Sunday, good times. The Cards have a tendency to beat up on the Rams, and it should continue here. I don't think Kurt Warner is yet satisfied with pummeling the team that left him for dead. 3 units.Loss.

Jets +11 If the Pats played anyone else but the Colts prior to this game I would take them as The Hoodie and Brady never lose two games in a row. The Pats tend to shit their pants after playing the Colts. The Jets desperately need this game and should keep it close, but will fall short in the end. The Pats D is suspect right now and the Hoodie knows it. The Jets will focus on slowing down Moss and Welker in this contest as the Pats have not had much of a running game to speak of lately. 1 unit. Loss.

Bengals -10 Any doubters left on the Bengals? Didn't think so. Russel Un-athletic has been benched in favor of Charlie Frye, good luck with that against the Bengals bracket coverage. Cincy will be without Benson for a while, this resulted in them signing shit bag Larry Johnson. The Raiders will have no success running the ball as Al Davis refuses to use Bush and Fargas, opting to go with 1st round bust Mcfadden. Good luck with that. Palmer has struggled throwing the ball sans the Bears contest, but I think turnovers will show here for the Raiders and the Bengals will capitalize on them. 1 unit.Loss.

Chargers -6 No spread on this game due to Kyle Orton's ankle problems. Why is Chris Simms employed? He is garbage I think he completed 3 passes for 11 yards in the ass beating they took at the hands of the Redskins. The Broncos are gassed and are beginning their much anticipated free fall. Phillip Rivers is unstoppable and LT actually had some running lanes last week and had two rushing touchdowns and 97 yards. Rivers should have another big day here as the wheels have come off Denver's bandwagon. 3 units.Win.

Eagles -3 How is Andy Reid still employed? RUN THE BALL!!!!! It's not that difficult. The Eagles are missing Westbrook who had yet another concussion, sad for him as he has been a quality player for years. Mcnabb has young studs Celek, McCoy, Maclan, and Jackson. How are the Bears going to possibly cover them? The offensive line for the Bears is garbage as is the play calling. Cutler has no WR's to throw to, Olsen is his only consistent option. I don't trust Cutler against the Eagles secondary, Samuels and Brown are notorious route jumpers and will be gambling against an inexperienced WR corps looking to intercept the risk taking Cutler. The Bears won't have much success running against the Eagles and conversely the Bears have no pass rush to speak of, this gives McNabb plenty of time to throw the ball 80 times in this contest. 3 units.Win.

Titans +5 This should be an exciting Monday night game. Two young teams on the rise. The Texans are a solid team but I am not sure if they are ready to be laying 5 points in this spot. Chris Johnson is unstoppable and the Texans are middle of the pack against the run. The Texans have no running game to speak of and that will force Schaub to throw the ball to move the chains and he is missing Owen Daniels his favorite target. The Titans have bolstered their secondary with the insertion of Rod Hood. The Texans on the other hand have a pedestrian secondary and VY will not be hesitant to throw against them. Add that up with his ability to scramble and Chris Johnson racking up yardage. I like the 5 points here. 5 units.Win.
