Week 12 NFL Action

Loyal readers and degenerate gamblers, I am at a loss. Vegas was piling up money last weekend until the 4pm games kicked off then Vegas looked up at the flat screens and said "bye bye money" Vegas sportsbooks had another horrible week. This is most likely due to the parity in the NFL this year. I have not yet conferred with my battle Billy Vegas yet today, I was placed on timeout for watching hockey while I was awaiting "The Shield" to start. Here is what I have so far. (Please keep in mind that double digit favorites are 1-12 ATS this year)

Titans -5 vs Jets: Heavy public betting on the Jets. This will be a statement game for the Titans as the Jets are 7-3 and the Titans are still looking to be recognized for their 10-0 start. Brett "I can throw interceptions too" Favre is due a choke game, since it didnt happen against the Patriots the Human Turnover machine might make an appearance here. The Jets Kris Jenkins has done well stopping the run, but at the same time Collins has proven he can do more than just manage then game by passing for 200 yards or more the last 2 games. Im riding the Titans till the wheels fall off. Loss. Titans suck, fuck them.

Vikings +3 @ Jags: Jags can't stop the run, Peterson will be able to open up the play action game for Frerotte to hit Berrian and Shaincoe (sp?) down the field against Jax's lackluster secondary. The Jags are deflated after their loss to the Titans and will come out flat. Meanwhile Brad Clueless will have a game plan in place to make sure that the Vikings leave their Florida road trip 1 and 1. Win. who cares.

Chiefs +3 vs Bills: Why is Buffalo laying points to the Chiefs on the road in Arrowhead of all places? I cant figure that one out. Trent Edwards has no confidence right now. 80% of the publics money is on the Bills, and remember the theme, Vegas is desperate right now for cash. The Chiefs have lost their last 3 games by an average of 2.7 points, those games were against the Bucs, Chargers and Jets. Thigpen is playing well, while the Chiefs defense is playing well I like the Chiefs spread offense in this one Thigpen will throw because Buffalo should be able to handle the running game of the Chiefs. Loss. Chiefs suck

Lions +8.5 vs. Bucs: The Bucs are 2-7 ATS as road favorites since 2004, they played like crap at Dallas and at KC. Plus the Bucs have 3 consecutive conference games after this date with the hapless Lions. The Bucs have been inconsistent in the red zone all year, plus Lions coach Marinelli coached with the Bucs for years and knows them well as evident by Detroit beating the Bucs in Tampa last year. Despite their blowout loss against a desperate Jags team the Lions have been competitive in every game since Oct. 12th, losing to teams with .500 records or better. Loss. Lions are pathetic and have zero heart, fuck the bucs too.

49ers +10.5 @ Cowboys: That is alot of wood for the Cowboys to be laying. Sean Hill has been playing well under center. The 49ers have been playing well for Singletary, they blew it against the Cardinals in the last minute, but they blew out the Rams last week. Look for the 49ers to come out confident and for Dallas to overlook them. 88% of the publics money is on the 49ers, if that gets closer to 50% by sunday I will go heavy on this game. Romo is 3-10 ATS as a 7 point favorite, (excluding Thanksgiving day 5-10). Remember the 49ers played the Cards tougher than the Cowboys did this year, so that 10. 5 points Im getting makes me feel comfortable. Loss. Singletary needs to be fired, he sux and so does his team.

Raiders +9.5 @ Broncos: Divisonal game, Raiders will be looking for revenge after the blowout earlier this season by the Broncos. Russel and Mcfadden will be back in the line up and I look for Fargas to have a big day against Denver's so-so pass defense. I dont see the Broncos being able to match the Raiders intensity in this one as the Broncos are 2 games up in the standings and have a big date with the jets next week.

Falcons -1 vs Panthers: This is a statement game for the Falcons, the "mighty" Panthers are 8-2, even though Delhomme has not played well as of late, Matt Ryan has played well. The Falcons have to take this game at home to gain credibility and keep up with the pack. The Panthers have a good pass defense so look for Turner to have a big game. I also expect the Atlanta secondary to make some plays and take advantage of Delhomme's propensity to throw pics as of late.

Redskins -3.5 @ Seahawks: This could be a big unit play for me. The Redskins are in a tough spot and need this win bad, and lets not count out the revenge factor from the playoffs last year. Hassleback will be playing, after just having a concussion last week. The Redskins secondary is solid and I dont see Jones doing much running against Washinton. Portis should be starting which will help Campbell go downfield to torch the Seahawks skeleton crew secondary.

Packers +2.5 @ New Orleans: Green Bay likes to cover for me when they are dogs, and makes me pay when I go against them. (Thanks Bears) That being said the Packers are healthy and playing well. Ryan Grant has woke up and is playing well, New Orleans will have no running game in this contest. I look for Rodgers to have a big day as Jennings and Driver will boatrace the Saints terrible secondary.

Thats what I have so far people I have a couple more games to look at and I might make some changes, but The Blanket is not feeling to well today and needs his rest!!
